Raita is a savory condiment, that can be made many different ways. We love to prepare it with all of the ripe peaches that are falling from our trees right about now! PEACH RAITA RECIPE
Quantity: makes 12 cups
Ingredients:
8 cups peaches
8 cups kefir
3 cups ChocolaTree Coconut Creme
Tarka Ingredients:
1 cup coconut oil
½ tsp fenugreek
½ tsp mustard seed
1 tbsp coriander seed
1 tsp fennel seed
¼ tsp long pepper
Pinch cayenne
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp turmeric
Method:
- Make tarka by heating coconut oil in a large pan, add spices
- Add in peaches, simmer for just a few minutes, until peaches are soft & tender
- Let cool slightly, then blend kefir, coconut creme & peaches together in blender
- Add water to create your desired thickness
- Let set for one hour in fridge.
